Dr. Zarinejad is a licensed Clinical Psychologist practicing in Encino, California. She has
over 20 years of clinical, research and teaching experience. Dr. Zarinejad specializes in treating children, adolescents
and adults who suffer from depression, anxiety, childhood disorders, traumas, cross cultural issues, and general life concerns.
She also has extensive experience with individual and couples dealing with relationship struggles, divorce or other
losses.
Dr. Zarinejad is a lecturer, educator and has featured as a guest speaker
on the Voice of America and other educational television program. In addition, Dr. Zarinejad has conducted several
seminars on Psycho-dynamic and Object Relation treatment techniques for psychologists. Her special area of interest
is on mental health issues of young adults.
Dr.
Zarinejad was the clinical director of a five year study on the course and outcome of Bipolar Illness on adolescents, as part
of a research study at UCLA. In addition, as an expert witness, she has provided testimonie in Los Angeles court
on topics related to mental health issues of children and adolescents.
Dr.
Zarinejad earned her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology in 1992 from the well respected Alliant University/California School of
Professional Psychology, Los Angeles (accredited by the American Psychological Association). Her post graduate training
was completed at the UCLA Resnick Neuropsychiatric Hospital. She was licensed from the board of psychology in 1996.
Her pre doctoral experiences includes, psychoanalytic training at the Wright institute Los Angeles and Family Stress
Center, Child and Family Guidance Center, both highly respected training facilities.
Over the past few years,
Dr. Zarinejad has provided supervision to psychological assistants. She has served as an academic consultant and committee
member to the doctorate students at Alliant University. Furthermore, Dr. Zarinejad was the former treasurer and a member
of the Board of Trustee of the Iranian Psychological Association of America.
